The People & Institutional Formation function exists to operate this capacity formation surface.

The Head of Institutional Recruitment is the operating principal of this function. The role establishes institutional recruitment architecture, directs executive search coordination across senior operating principals, and governs capacity formation across the firm's operating layer.

The Head of Institutional Recruitment operates as the capacity formation principal — owning institutional recruitment architecture, executive search coordination with senior operating principals, and capacity planning across the firm's operating layer. This is not a human resources function. It is institutional capacity formation.

Day-to-day, the role coordinates with the Chief Operating Officer on capacity formation strategy, with functional principals across the firm on capacity requirements within their operating layers, with the Executive Search Coordinator on executive search operations, and with the broader executive leadership on senior operating principal recruitment.

The function operates against the institutional reality that capacity formation at this scale is not transactional recruitment — it is institutional capacity architecture. Senior operating principals at this layer require qualified institutional engagement during recruitment cycles, and recruitment quality is governed by institutional fit calibration rather than recruitment velocity.

  • Lead institutional recruitment architecture across the firm, including recruitment standards, executive search coordination protocols, and capacity formation governance
  • Direct executive search coordination across senior operating principals and functional leadership, including senior recruitment cycle direction, executive search principal engagement, and qualified candidate assessment
  • Establish capacity planning across the firm's operating functions, coordinating with functional principals on capacity requirements and capacity formation timing
  • Operate institutional candidate assessment at the recruitment principal layer, including institutional fit assessment, operating-layer calibration, and senior candidate qualified engagement
  • Coordinate workforce planning across operating anchors — New York, London, Singapore — including cross-anchor capacity coordination and operating anchor capacity formation
  • Handle recruitment escalation events — capacity formation pressure, senior recruitment cycle escalation, executive search principal review — through documented escalation protocols
  • Coordinate executive search principal engagement with qualified external executive search counterparties at institutional executive search firms
  • Represent the recruitment function in executive coordination with the Chief Operating Officer and broader executive leadership
  • Translate institutional positioning into recruitment architecture protocols that govern how Aspera Edge engages senior operating principals during recruitment cycles

Qualification Threshold 06 of 08
  • 10+ years institutional recruitment leadership at top-tier institutional financial firm, executive search firm, institutional bank, or comparable institutional recruitment environment
  • Demonstrated leadership of senior operating principal recruitment at institutional scale, including executive search coordination and capacity formation architecture
  • Executive search principal engagement experience — direct working relationships with qualified institutional executive search counterparties and senior institutional candidates
  • Cross-functional recruitment experience across institutional operating functions — treasury, risk, infrastructure, engagement, operations, legal, and strategy
  • Cross-jurisdictional recruitment experience spanning at least two of the following operating anchors: Americas, EMEA, APAC
  • Executive engagement experience — direct working relationships with C-suite leadership including functional principal coordination on capacity matters
  • Recruitment discipline appropriate for institutional capacity formation environments — institutional fit calibration, qualified engagement discipline, recruitment architectural rigor
