Settlement Infrastructure Analyst

Location Singapore Function Financial Infrastructure Supervision Engagement Full-Time Layer APAC Settlement Analytics
Institutional Context 01 of 08

Settlement infrastructure across APAC counterparty operations spans heterogeneous rail systems operating with distinct finality characteristics, settlement timing realities, and integration architectures. The Settlement Infrastructure Analyst operates analytical supervision across this surface from the Singapore anchor, supporting the Financial Infrastructure Oversight function with rail-level settlement integrity visibility across APAC operating jurisdictions.

Role Mandate 02 of 08

Operate settlement infrastructure analytics across APAC rail systems. Monitor settlement integrity across APAC counterparty operations, surface settlement infrastructure events, and support rail-level supervision across Singapore, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Mumbai, Sydney, and broader APAC operating jurisdictions.

The Analyst owns the APAC settlement infrastructure analytical surface — monitoring rail-level settlement integrity, surfacing settlement infrastructure events to the supervision function, and analyzing rail performance under counterparty operational pressure. The role operates against APAC settlement realities: heterogeneous rail finality characteristics, jurisdictional settlement framework differences, and rail-level integration variation across regional clearing infrastructures.

Day-to-day, the role coordinates with the Director — Financial Infrastructure Oversight on settlement supervision standards, with the Cross-Border Payments Analyst on APAC settlement coordination, and with the Operational Integrity Analyst on cross-anchor infrastructure analytical alignment.

Core Responsibilities 03 of 08
  • Monitor settlement integrity across APAC rail systems, including settlement finality coordination, settlement timing analytics, and rail-level performance surveillance
  • Analyze settlement infrastructure events across APAC counterparty operations, surfacing rail disruption, settlement timing anomaly, and integration degradation to the supervision function
  • Coordinate settlement infrastructure documentation across APAC rail surfaces, including settlement event records, rail-level analytical outputs, and infrastructure performance reporting
  • Support rail-level governance at the analytical layer, including settlement framework analysis, rail integration assessment, and rail-level coordination across APAC clearing infrastructures
  • Handle settlement infrastructure analytical escalation — settlement disruption analytical surfacing, rail unavailability assessment, integration anomaly analysis — through documented escalation pathways to the supervision function
  • Analyze rail-level evolution across APAC settlement systems — emerging instant rails, settlement framework shifts, jurisdictional rail-level developments — supporting infrastructure supervision standards adaptation
  • Coordinate analytical outputs with the Operational Integrity Analyst on infrastructure surveillance spanning European and APAC anchors
Operational Environment 04 of 08
  • APAC rail systems: Pix-equivalent instant rails, UPI, PromptPay, FAST, RTGS networks, alongside cross-border SWIFT, ACH-equivalent, CHIPS infrastructure operating across APAC settlement surfaces
  • APAC settlement framework jurisdictions: MAS settlement framework, HKMA settlement architecture, RBI settlement governance, FSA settlement standards, BNM equivalent frameworks
  • Rail-level analytical infrastructure spanning APAC clearing systems
  • Internal coordination with Director — Financial Infrastructure Oversight, Cross-Border Payments Analyst, Operational Integrity Analyst
  • Singapore market hours operational anchor with APAC settlement supervision coordination
  • Settlement infrastructure principals at APAC banking and payments infrastructure counterparties
Reporting & Coordination 05 of 08

  • Cross-Border Payments Analyst
  • Operational Integrity Analyst
  • Banking Relationship Manager
  • Operational Continuity Analyst
Qualification Threshold 06 of 08
  • 4–6 years institutional settlement infrastructure operations or payments infrastructure analytics at APAC bank operations, payments institution, clearing infrastructure firm, or comparable institutional environment
  • Operating familiarity with APAC rail systems at settlement-infrastructure depth — Pix-equivalent, UPI, PromptPay, FAST, RTGS networks, alongside cross-border infrastructure
  • APAC settlement framework operating experience — working familiarity with MAS, HKMA, RBI, FSA settlement governance at rail-level depth
  • Settlement analytical discipline — settlement timing analytics, finality assessment, rail-level performance analysis
  • Multi-counterparty coordination experience across APAC settlement infrastructure counterparts
  • Working familiarity with settlement infrastructure surveillance tooling and rail-level analytical cycles
Selection Signals 07 of 08

Strong candidates typically demonstrate:

  • Settlement integrity analytical instinct — operators who recognize how rail-level settlement disruption manifests across APAC clearing infrastructures and surface settlement events procedurally
  • APAC rail-level operating fluency — direct exposure to how APAC rail systems behave under settlement pressure rather than research-level familiarity
  • Cross-rail analytical capacity — operating experience analyzing settlement across rail systems with structurally distinct finality and timing characteristics
  • Settlement timing analytical discipline — comfort identifying settlement timing patterns and translating them into structured infrastructure analytical outputs
  • Analytical calm under settlement infrastructure pressure — rail disruption events and settlement anomalies handled through documented analytical protocols
  • APAC settlement framework instinct — recognition that APAC settlement infrastructures operate with heterogeneous regulatory and operational characteristics requiring rail-specific analytical approaches
Engagement Structure 08 of 08
  • Institutional compensation architecture calibrated to APAC institutional infrastructure analytics standards
  • Direct analytical coordination with infrastructure supervision leadership across APAC settlement surfaces
  • Singapore-anchored analytical role with APAC rail-level infrastructure exposure
  • Settlement infrastructure analytics formation — supporting Aspera Edge APAC infrastructure supervision standards during foundational stage
